“This Indian Restaurant is only weeks old – but already it’s one of Bristol’s best. Indian Rassasy is the first solo venture of Shamshuddin Bagalkote, who will be a familiar face to Bristol curry fans as he previously worked as a manager at an award winning restaurant in Bristol city centre”

Mark Taylor, Bristol Post
"One entire wall has been painted by a Weston-super-Mare artist known only as Shruti, the brief from Bagalkote to be a mix of Bristol and India . So hot air balloons fly over the Clifton Suspension bridge, next to colourful peacocks and silhouettes of Temples”

Google Reviews

"We walked down from Clifton to find this place on a weekend away. It was well worth it. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The menu offers food from both North and Southern India and therefore proved a really nice contrast to the Bangladeshi curries mostly dominating the restaurants we visit at home. We did not leave hungry and the complimentary rice dessert was a great touch."

"Food was great. Props to the waiter for his memory man trick. Took orders for 10 people without writing anything down and got everything right. A couple of us even swapped seats to catch him out. Didn't work. Highly recommended."

"What can I say, utterly stunning. Food is tasty, well presented and varied, service is friendly and accomodating, ambience also stunning. If I could give it more stars I would. If you aren't feeling adventurous they do all the classics but I recommend trying something you haven't had before, you won't be disappointed."

A Refreshing Change

"Fantastic food, and outstanding customer service. A great addition to the restaurant portfolio in BRISTOL. This is likely to become a regular haunt. Recommend the duck and the sea bass, enjoy "Naked Pepper" April 2019"

Anniversary meal

Fabulous Food with Great Service

"They have only been open about 6 months and their reputation is spreading far and wide. We went for my birthday and were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our table. The food was beautifully cooked and authentic Indian cooking. I had Lamb Shank Biryani which was just fabulous and fell off the bone. Attention to detail was amazing, even the chutney and dips with the poppadoms was home made and not just out of a jar! It wasn't whisked away after the poppadoms were finished and left on the table to compliment our main course. The waiters were attentive without being oppressive and they seemed pleased when we enjoyed our meal. This is a small-ish restaurant but was full to capacity on a Friday night. Booking a table would be advised to avoid disappointment. We will certainly return with some of our curry-loving friends to this new jewel in the Bristol curry scene. Euan F, July 2019"
